Will Patrick Mahomes play this week? Injury updates for Chiefs QB

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is known for his toughness and tenacity, and he will need to channel all of his resistance for the defending Super Bowl champions’ Week 11 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Mahomes has taken some hard hits in Kansas City’s recent games, but he was a full participant in the Chiefs’ practice session on Wednesday despite being listed on the team’s injury report.

Patrick Mahomes injury update

Mahomes was listed with ankle and hip injuries, but it didn’t affect his ability to run through drills with his teammates on Wednesday.

He is expected to play against the Bills on Sunday, assuming that his injuries don’t get worse through the rest of the week.

How long will Patrick Mahomes be out?

Mahomes isn’t expected to miss any time due to his current injuries, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Andy Reid decide to pull him out of Kansas City’s matchup against Buffalo if the Chiefs get out to a big lead.

Chiefs QB depth chart

If Mahomes needs to be sidelined, Kansas City can count on veteran signal-caller Carson Wentz to lead its offense.
