The Kansas City Chiefs are set to face the Denver Broncos in a Week 10 AFC West matchup that could have huge implications on both teams’ seasons.
While the Chiefs are clear favorites to win as the NFL’s only undefeated team, an ankle injury sustained by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes may hamper Kansas City’s hopes of keeping its perfect season intact.
Mahomes was a full participant in all of the Chiefs’ practice sessions this week but remained on Kansas City’s injury report, listed with an ankle.
The extent of his ankle injury is unclear, but the reigning Super Bowl MVP seemed to aggravate the problem against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football” earlier this week.
Despite that setback, he is expected to play against Denver after Kansas City did not designate him with an official game status.
Stay tuned to see if this injury affects Mahomes’ availability later in the regular season.
