Will Mellor says Two Pints of Lager co-star Sheridan Smith 'hasn't called him in years'

Will Mellor has been inspired by the Friends reunion – and wants to get back in touch with his former co-stars.

The Corrie star says he would love to film another round of hit BBC sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps – but hasn’t spoken to Sheridan Smith for years.

Will, 45, says: “I saw that Friends thing the other day and I thought we could have done something like that – talk about the old days, show some clips for fans of the show – but, to be honest, some of the people I don’t speak to any more.

“I’ve not seen Sheridan or spoke to Sheridan in four years. I rang her for a while and just nothing, so I don’t know her any more.

“I wish her all the best, but she hasn’t called me in years.”

Sheridan has recently become a mum so her priorities have likely changed a bit.

Still, a Two Pints reunion would be epic.

The comedy last hit our screens in May 2011 after a 10-year run.

Set in Runcorn, Cheshire, the series originally revolved around the lives of five twenty-somethings.

Ralf Little departed after the sixth series, and Sheridan and Kathryn Drysdale quit the sitcom after series eight.

Sheridan, 39, is the show’s most famous export, going on to win a BAFTA and an NTA award.

The star, who played Janet in Two Pints, also launched a successful music career.

Will, who starred as Gaz and is now playing Harvey Gaskell in Corrie, still speaks to Ralf and co-star Natalie Casey.

He admits he would love to have a Two Pints reunion – but only if he could get the full cast back together.

Will adds: “To be honest, I don’t think it’s doable any more.

"I would be well up for it because I really respect the fans for what they’ve given us, and coming back together to say something like thank you would be great, but I can’t see it.”

Come on, Sheridan. Answer your phone…
