The Kansas City Chiefs have relied on veteran running back Kareem Hunt to lead their outstanding rushing attack while quarterback Patrick Mahomes has struggled to find his footing early in the 2024 season.
Hunt’s outsized impact on Kansas City’s offensive production has been a crucial aspect of the Chiefs’ perfect start to their championship defense campaign, but a quad injury threatened to limit his role against the Denver Broncos in Week 10.
On Wednesday, Kansas City listed Hunt as a limited participant in the Chiefs’ practice session due to a quad injury.

It seemed that Hunt may have dealing with a serious issue, but he was upgraded to full participation during the Chiefs’ drills on Thursday and Friday, which should indicate that he will be available for Kansas City’s AFC West showdown against the Broncos.
If Hunt needs to miss time, expect rookie running back Carson Steele to take on a bigger role in Andy Reid’s offense.
