Will Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels play in today’s game against the Chicago Bears?
Washington listed Daniels as questionable on Friday’s final injury report. The rookie phenom suffered a rib injury during the Commanders’ first possession in last week’s 40-7 win over the Carolina Panthers. He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and was limited on Friday, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Whether Daniels plays or not, the Commanders have kept the Bears guessing about which quarterback they’ll face. One possible hint into Washington’s thinking was it did not elevate rookie quarterback Sam Hartman from the practice squad by Saturday’s deadline. So, if Daniels does not play, Jeff Driskel will be Marcus Mariota’s backup. Washington has typically had a third quarterback available on game days this season.
