The Kansas City Chiefs rely on starting offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor to keep pressure off star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Taylor was listed on the Chiefs’ injury report this week ahead of Kansas City’s divisional-round playoff matchup against the Houston Texans on Saturday, January 18.
Will Taylor be able to play for the Chiefs this weekend?
Jawaan Taylor injury update
Taylor is still dealing with a knee injury, but it didn’t affect his ability to run drills with his teammates this week. He was a full participant in all of Kansas City’s practice sessions, and will almost certainly be in the starting lineup when the Chiefs face the Texans.
How long will Jawaan Taylor be out?
Taylor should not have to miss any time due to his lingering knee injury.
Chiefs RT depth chart
Taylor’s backup at right offensive tackle is Ethan Driskell. While they don’t have a third-stringer at the position, Kansas City has many talented offensive linemen who could be shuffled around if needed.
