Will Fish is set to return to Hibs on another season-long loan from Manchester United, according to reports.
The defender was a popular figure at Easter Road last campaign and Hibees fans have been hijacking the club's social media output with 'Announce Fish' replies as Lee Johnson gets his ducks in a row for next season. Two new goalkeepers are already in the door while Jordan Obita has also joined. Veteran Adam Le Fondre is in the building but top star Kevin Nisbet left for Millwall at the start of the window.
Fish was integral to Hibs push towards Europa Conference League football, which will kick off for Johnson and co in a matter of weeks. And the 20-year-old is to hand the Leith outfit a massive boost, signing on for another year in Edinburgh. That is according to the Manchester Evening News who say United have made the decision to offload the centre-half to the Hibees for the new campaign.
The report states there was competition for the defender's signature from the Championship and League One, as well as rival clubs in Scotland, including Aberdeen. Fish will play for United in a pre-season friendly against Leeds United in Oslo before travelling north to link up with Johnson for their friendly with Gronigen.
