Famous actor Will Ferrell has engaged in a war of words with Arsenal and England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale ahead of the Three Lions' clash with USA on Friday. Gareth Southgate's men could edge closer to confirming qualification for the round of 16 with a win over the USMNT.
England currently sit top of their group with a huge 6-2 win over Iran in their opening game, while USA and Wales drew the other clash in the opening round of fixtures in Group B. It underlines the importance for both sides to grab a win before their final match, one that could define their tournaments.
In the build-up to the game, the unlikely battle between Ramsdale and Ferrell started when the latter predicted USA would win 3-0 against England in a shocking result, claiming they will "slaughter" the Three Lions. When asked about the prediction, the Arsenal shot-stopper claimed he loved watching the actor's films, but things will change when the two teams take to the pitch on Friday.

"When that whistle goes, you'll be the worst actor in the world," Ramsdale told Ferrell. "Elf will be on the shelf, and it will be a little less Anchorman and more w*****man," the goalkeeper claimed, playing on some of the titles of the films that the 55-year-old has headlined.
It led to a response when Ferrell made an appearance on Capital FM, saying: "Wow. Mr. Aaron Ramsdale. Aaron you didn’t realize when you gave those quotes, Aaron you didn’t realize, I know where you live. And I’m delivering a bag of s*** to your doorstep. I’m going to light it on fire and you’re going to have to stomp it out, you’re going to have s*** all over your football boots. Alright Aaron?!"
It was an expletive chapter between the two in a war of words that have more of a touch of humour to them than any hint of seriousness. It remains to be seen if Ferrell's prediction will come true when it comes to the clash between the sides on Friday night though.
