The Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks are set to square off in their first of two meetings on Sunday afternoon, a pivotal game for both teams with first place in the NFC West on the line. They’re each dealing with injury issues of their own, raising some questions about who might suit up this weekend and who will be sidelined.
DK Metcalf is one Seahawks player who’s uncertain to play on Sunday after missing Week 8 with a knee injury, but there’s optimism in Seattle that he’ll be able to give it a go. Here’s the latest on Metcalf’s status heading into this crucial matchup with the Rams.
DK Metcalf injury update
Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said this week that it’s “looking optimistic” that Metcalf will be able to play against the Rams, returning from a knee injury that forced him to miss one game.
“Looking optimistic,” Macdonald said. “He hasn’t practiced yet, so let’s let him practice and see how he feels before we start making judgments on the week, but we’re optimistic for this week.”
Despite missing one game, Metcalf leads the Seahawks with 568 yards receiving, 175 more than the next-closest player, Tyler Lockett. He also had three touchdowns and 35 receptions on 61 targets.
