Will D.J. Humphries play this week? Injury updates for Chiefs OL

The Kansas City Chiefs left tackle D.J. Humphries has been absent from his role on the defending Super Bowl champions’ offensive line since he made his first appearance with the team.

Is Humphries expected to return for Kansas City’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day?

D.J. Humphries injury update

Humphries has been dealing with a hamstring injury and did not practice with the Chiefs on Monday.

How long will D.J. Humphries be out?

The extent of Humphries’ injury is unclear, but given his absence from the Chiefs’ recent practice sessions, it seems unlikely that he will be available for Kansas City’s Week 17 matchup against Pittsburgh.

Chiefs OL depth chart

Head coach Andy Reid hasn’t yet revealed his plan for the Chiefs’ front-five, but veteran guard Joe Thuney started in Humphries’ place when Kansas City faced the Houston Texans in Week 16. Tackles Wanya Morris and Kingsley Suamataia will be available to replace Humphries if Thuney returns to his spot as a starting guard.
