Will Coca-Cola Christmas truck return in 2022? Rumoured dates and locations

With the festive season bearing down upon us, some Brits may argue that it never truly feels like Christmas until they have caught a glimpse of the iconic

Christmas truck.

Much like last year, the drinks brand appears to be teasing fans and filling them with excitement on social media as they await the truck's return.

A series of cryptic responses to tweets have been enough to suggest supermarkets up and down the country are yet again set to host the iconic Coca-Cola lorry over the next several weeks.

But which areas of the UK could the red truck visit this year and when could the tour take place?

Here's everything you need to know.

The famous trucks have been a Christmas staple ever since they were launched on TV in 1995.

Created by agency W.B. Doner for Coke's seasonal advertising campaign, they were first known as Christmas Caravans.

However, the UK tour of the truck first began more recently, in 2010.

Will the Coca-Cola Christmas truck return in 2022?

Coca-Cola is yet to officially confirm that the Christmas truck will be back for 2022, however, the brand has teased that the "holidays are coming" this festive season.

Coca Cola made the statement in response to a Twitter user asking when dates for this year's tour will be announced.

Coca-Cola GB replied: "Let's just say that #holidaysarecoming," followed by eyes and Father Christmas emojis.

When could the Coca-Cola Christmas tour be announced?

Although the dates for 2022 are yet to be confirmed by Coca-Cola, the 2021 dates were announced on November 23, whereas in 2019, dates were announced much earlier on November 12.

Following the pattern that the dates are announced on Tuesdays, fans could expect the dates to drop on either November 15, November 22, or November 29.

When could the Coca-Cola tour take place?

If the tour is announced in the next few weeks, some fans could expect to see the Christmas truck before November comes to an end.

In 2021, the tour took place from November 24 to December 19 and fans could expect the same three-week stint for the iconic Coca-Cola truck this year.

The tour was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but returned last year on a smaller scale than usual, with dates and destinations only announced a day or so before to avoid Covid-19 related cancellations.

In 2021, Coca-Cola employees were handing out small cans of Coke Zero and visitors could grab a selfie with the iconic red truck.
