Will Byers' Stranger Things quirky mansion goes on the market for eye-popping price

Stranger Things fans could soon own an iconic piece of the show's history, as the home of Will Byers hits the real estate market for an astonishing price.

The house - which is located in Fayetteville, Georgia - is a 1,846 square foot property and is tucked away on a relatively remote six acres of land. It has been put on the market with a price tag of $300,000.

The iconic property has three bedrooms and plenty of privacy thanks to a wooded area surrounding it.

The listing, which is held by Michael Smith of EXP Realty, notes that the Byers house is a "fixer-upper", which helps to explain the low price for a property associated with such a popular Netflix series.

The house is now on the market (EXP REALTY/TNI PRESS LTD.)

The listing first went up on Monday and says the house could make for a "perfect Airbnb".

The listing states: "How cool would it be to own the infamous Stranger Things house? Don't get stuck in the upside down though, this home does need a full rehab."

Photos from inside the property confirm that it will need a makeover and some serious care from a buyer.

The house appears to have wood-panelled walls in the main living area, with a cosy fireplace in the centre of the room.

The home featured heavily in the show (Netflix)

The realtor noted in the listing that fans have "travelled far and wide" to get a closer look of the house ever since it was featured on Stranger Things.

He added that the current owners eventually had to put up a driveway barricade and private property signs to stop people trespassing.

According to TMZ, the house is jointly owned by a group of seven siblings. The family members are now searching for a buyer who can afford to fix up the property.

The property does need some TLC (EXP REALTY/TNI PRESS LTD.)

Stranger Things fans will remember the house for serving as a pivotal location early in the show's run. It was featured heavily in the first season when Will went missing in the alternate dimension known as the Upside Down.

While he was gone, his mum and older brother communicated with him using letters painted on the walls and an array of Christmas lights.

Fans are currently eagerly awaiting the next instalment of the hit drama with shooting expected to start in 2023.
