Will Boris Johnson be at his daughter's upcoming wedding?

Wedding bells are imminent for Boris Johnson’s daughter, Lara Johnson-Wheeler. The fashion writer and her fiancé, German art director Patrick Mueller, revealed that they have signed their marriage licence. “Final piece of 2023 admin secretly completed,” the couple wrote in a joint post on Instagram.

They shared a series of photographs of the day, where they went to Hackney Registry Office in East London to sign the marriage papers, before having a cigarette and heading to the pub to play on some fruit machines. “Wedding still TK… Stay tuned,” they added. Though they now have licence to marry, the ceremony will be at a later date.

Will Boris be at the wedding? Father and daughter have not been spotted together in years, and we notice that Lara and Boris’s wife Carrie Johnson, who have a five-year age gap, do not follow each other on Instagram. Lara, 30, is the eldest of four children from Boris Johnson’s marriage to Marina Wheeler.

Johnson-Wheeler and Mueller have been together for over six years. In 2022, Mueller shared that he went through cancer treatment. “I’m still processing what happened between getting my testicular cancer diagnosis in early summer and a final clear scan last week,” he wrote on Instagram in December that year. “I couldn’t be more thankful for all the incredible support, care and love,” he added, alongside a selection of snaps including an on-theme engraved ring and Lara by his hospital bedside. The couple got engaged one month later, on a trip to India.
