Wildcats' Law ruled out of NBL season

The Wildcats' Vic Law has been ruled out of the rest of the NBL season with an ankle injury. (AAP)

The Perth Wildcats have confirmed American import Vic Law will miss the remainder of the NBL season after suffering an ankle injury.

Law went down in the third quarter of their win over Cairns on Saturday and returned to the bench on crutches.

The Wildcats say Law suffered a syndesmosis injury to his right ankle and is expected to be sidelined for 12 weeks.

It's a tough blow for fourth-place Perth, who have two games remaining in the regular season and need to win both to lock in a top-four spot should fifth-place Tasmania beat Melbourne United on Saturday.

This season, Law averaged 20.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game to put him in the top-five of both categories.

His spot on the roster will be replaced by development player Kyle Zunic.
