The Cincinnati Bengals established some solid momentum going into Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans with the win just six days prior on primetime over the Los Angeles Rams.
What might be especially encouraging for some fans to hear is that the Bengals have also been strangely good in short-week scenarios.
Buy Bengals TicketsAs WCPO’s Caleb Noe pointed out on Twitter, the Bengals have won seven games in a row on a short week, meaning the smaller timeframes between appearances on either a Thursday night primetime slot or Monday night primetime slot.
This impressive streak stretches all the way back to December of 2020 and frankly, good luck figuring out why. A team with less than the normal amount of time to heal and prep for another game usually struggles against teams with more time off between games.
But not these Bengals. While much will come down to how Burrow’s injured calf does or doesn’t impact the game in Tennessee, it’s a small positive spin to keep in mind going into the game.
This stat is legitimately remarkable for the #Bengals.
Typically, “short weeks” are seen as a disadvantage in the NFL.
The #Bengals have won 7 consecutive “short week” games.
