Former Texans starting safety Jonathan Owens signed his contract with the Packers earlier this week, with superstar Olympian wife Simone Biles by his side.
Biles posted a picture on Twitter with Owens at Lambeau Field and another of him signing his contract with the team, as she asked her social media following for any recommendations in their new city.
The wife of longtime kicker Mason Crosby responded to Biles implying that the team had moved on from her husband, who is a free agent this offseason after 16 years in Green Bay.
“Sad we will miss you, we just ended a 16 year run with the team…that being said…I’ve got some stuff I need to share with you. Little city with a big heart and some AMAZING stores and restaurants. We loved our time there and so will you! Let’s talk coats, boots, custom packer gear…” she tweeted at Biles.
Crosby joins longtime Packers Marcedes Lewis and Adrian Amos as notable veterans who remain free agents. General manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier this month that the team would “never close the door” on bringing Crosby back, even after using a sixth-round pick on Auburn’s Anders Carlson in April’s NFL draft. The Packers also moved on from other veterans like receiver Randall Cobb, and of course, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was traded to the Jets.
