A motorist is being driven crazy by his car CD player which will only play one song by Loose Women's Jane McDonald.
John Hemsworth, 76, is forced to listen to One Step at a Time from Jane's 2017 album Hold the Covers Back every time he switches on his 2005 Citroen Picasso.
The broken sound system became so frustrating, it has even led him to consider counselling.
John became stuck in a loop with his efforts to eject the disc and switch over to the radio always defaulting back to Jane's track.
"I love Jane McDonald but I’d put the radio on and the CD would kick in — same track, same Jane. Over and over again," John told The Sun.
"It was a living nightmare. I thought I might end up in counselling if it didn’t stop."
After grappling with the machine to no avail, he hired a specialist to rectify the situation.
The widower, from Caister-on-Sea in Norfolk, has finally been able to change his tunes after auto-electrician Peter Doidge removed the CD by force.
It is hoped he can now be more up-beat when driving his Citroen after gaining back full control of the radio.
Mr Doidge said: "I’m happy to say Jane has been removed from John’s CD player and I think everyone will be relieved to know that CD will never play again."
Word of John's conundrum also made its way back to Jane whose singing had been playing on repeat in John's car.
She commented: "Bless him, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I’m very pleased for him that he’s finally been able to change the tunes."
