The Dalmore Distillery has announced a major investment programme that will see a new whisky making facility and visitor experience being created.
The capital backing from parent company Whyte & Mackay is also aimed at helping the distillery move closer to a sustainable future, in line with the group's objective to become net zero by 2040.
This new production facility, built to exacting sustainability standards, will be part of transitioning the site to a green energy solution.
Threesixty has been appointed architects, Blyth and Blyth Consulting Engineers will be the lead designers and whisky industry authority Forsyths is consulting on the whisky making aspect of the development.
A formal planning application has been submitted.
Founded in 1839, The Dalmore is located in Alness, 20 miles north of Inverness, on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle.
