Why Trump didn’t end the Russia-Ukraine war in 24 hours

U.S. President Donald Trump says he was being "a little bit sarcastic" when he made the campaign promise to end the Russia-Ukraine war within 24 hours.
Trump made the rare admission during an interview for the Full Measure television program.
He reiterated his desire to resolve the conflict and expressed confidence in his ability to do so.
His special envoy, Steve Witkoff, will hold talks in Moscow this week regarding a proposed ceasefire.
Trump believes Putin will agree to the ceasefire, citing his belief that he knows the Russian president "pretty well."
