The Sands of Breckon in the northern Scottish archipelago of Shetland was one of the top-rated beaches named by Conde Nast Traveller.
The magazine praised the beach for its "spectacular sandy shores," which are backed by "swathes" of green pastures.
The "pristine" white sands are said to be the perfect place to relax while traipsing around and learning about the area's fascinating history.
The nearby museum in Burravoe details accounts of historic boat accidents and contains artefacts that have washed up on the shores over the years.
