A "cosy" cottage in Scotland has been named one of the best in the UK for couples to stay at this winter.
Located in the Highlands, the spot has been praised for its "Scandinavian aesthetic" and fantastic surroundings.
The cottage was featured alongside a number of getaway spots, including Four Hundred Summers in Gloucestershire and Hex Cottage in Suffolk.
Introducing the ranking, The Times said that after the "relentless social onslaught of the holidays," now is the best time to "dial things down" with your significant other.

Kyle Cottage, which is an hour away from the Scottish Highlands village of Lairg, was named one of the best "cosy cottages" for couples to visit this winter.
Discussing the spot, the newspaper said the location swaps the "usual button-back sofas and exposed beams for a streamlined Scandinavian aesthetic."
The Sutherland cottage is surrounded by peaks and lochs, with the publication adding that this is "as cosy as it gets."
Its big windows, which open onto "rambling wilds," were also praised for their commanding views over the landscape.
The Times also highlighted the property's large bathtub which is said to be perfect for soaking in after a long day exploring the estate which is part of a vast wildland conservation project.
Wild swims, mountain hiking trails and visits to the local bakery, Cereal, which is a 15-minute drive away, are also part of the joy of this cottage.
The retreat has a high rating on Google Reviews with visitors giving it a 4.5/5.
