Why the Boston Celtics are not title contenders without Kristaps Porzingis

The Boston Celtics have the best record in the NBA, but will their regular season success translate to a hung banner by the end of the 2024 NBA Playoffs? For some prominent league analysts, it depends on how the rest of the regular season and the rest of the postseason goes.

Injury, of course, has always been a factor in which team ends up winning it all, but player health might prove critical to the Celtics’ postseason hopes. For Volume’s Jason Timpf, that means a healthy Kristaps Porzingis is necessary if Boston is going to win the 2024 NBA Finals.

On a recent episode of his “Hoops Tonight with Jason Timpf” podcast, Timpf laid out why the Celtics’ title aspirations may hinge on the availability of the Latvian big man.

Check out the clip above to hear what he had to say.
