Jose Mourinho is set to go up against Rangers next month following today's Europa League draw.
The Special One's Fenerbahce will take on the Scottish Premiership giants in a two-legged match in the round of 16.
Philippe Clement's side will travel to Turkey for the first leg, with the return game in Glasgow a week later.
The goodwill shown by Rangers fans may therefore change somewhat depending on how the match goes.
Speaking on talkSPORT back in 2021, the former Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Tottenham boss revealed that Rangers fans STILL thanked him for ensuring that Celtic didn't win the UEFA Cup back in 2003.
His Porto side of course defeated Martin O'Neill's team in Seville.
Mourinho said: "I could feel it immediately because the week before the game Celtic fans were already in Porto trying to buy tickets from Porto fans.
"Now, what I find in the streets of London and other places, is still the Rangers fans thanking me for that final.

"The passion for football is never one that is diminished in Glasgow and achievements are often fondly remembered amongst supporters.
"I still have people saying to me, 'Oh Jose thank you very much for that final'.”
Fenerbahce defeated Anderlecht in the play-off round to progress to the next knockout stage of the tournament.
Reacting to his team's potential last-16 opponents last night, Mourinho commented: "The flight time to Olympiakos is shorter so it could be them, but if we have to go to Scotland, we will go. They have a great stadium.
"It doesn't matter to us. It doesn't matter who our opponent is in the first match we will play in Istanbul. Fred will be an important absence for us there. We will forget about the Europa League now."
