Take That was formed in Manchester in 1990 with an original line up of Gary, Robbie Williams, Mark, Howard and Jason orange. However, Robbie Williams left the band in 1995 to pursue a solo career, achieving huge commercial success.
The remaining four completed a world tour and released a final single before the group split up in 1996. In 2006 Take That reunited as a four-piece, undergoing a UK tour and releasing new music.
Robbie rejoined the group in 2010 for the band’s sixth studio album, but in 2011 he left the group again, to return to his solo career, although the split was amicable. In 2014 Jason Orange announced that he would be leaving the group as he no longer wanted to record or perform music.
Since then Take That have performed as a trio with a line up of Gary, Mark and Howard. It's a busy summer for the group as they have a film coming out, Greatest Days, based on their jukebox musical which opened in 2017. The band are also due to perform a British Summer Time gig in July.
