Erik ten Hag has revealed Jadon Sancho is absent for Manchester United's game against Atletico Madrid due to illness.
Sancho started in all four of United's matches on their pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia and he travelled with the squad to Norway this weekend, but he wasn't named in Ten Hag's starting line up to play Atletico at the Ullevaal Stadium.
United have a number of players who are ill or injured and Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Luke Shaw didn't travel to Oslo, but some of those could be involved against Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford tomorrow.

Ten Hag started Marcus Rashford, Anthony Elanga and Anthony Martial for Saturday afternoon's match against Atletico and the United boss spoke to MUTV ahead of kick-off to discuss Sancho's omission, while he also explained his team selection.
"Overnight he [Sancho] got sick, so he's not available," Ten Hag said. "We will see [Martinez and Eriksen]. We will see how the game goes. I already said, we want to get many players with 90 minutes in their legs, but Martinez and Eriksen are not ready for that
"So we have to build them, build their fitness levels. They will definitely get game time today or tomorrow. They [Atletico] are a really tough opponent, difficult style to play against and it's not easy, so it's a big challenge for is."
