Erik ten Hag has confirmed Jadon Sancho is absent from Manchester United's squad to play West Ham because he is unwell. The Dutchman also revealed that Luke Shaw is not in the squad due to an injury he sustained against Newcastle.
Sancho started on the bench in the League Cup final at the weekend and he replaced Antony with 10 minutes to go in that match, but he's not available to play West Ham in the FA Cup on Wednesday, just three days after the Wembley triumph.
Shaw started the final against Newcastle but was a doubt to play after sustaining a knock and he's also absent from the squad.

As expected, Ten Hag has made six changes from the team that started against Newcastle at Wembley, which has given Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof the opportunity to rekindle their partnership in the centre of defence.

Diogo Dalot and Tyrell Malacia have started at full-back, Scott McTominay and Marcel Sabitzer have started in midfield, while youngster Alejandro Garnacho has been given a chance to impress from the start down the left channel.
"No, it's about using the squad and until this moment, we use everyone," Ten Hag told MUTV when asked about whether the changes were for fresh legs. "They all have to be ready to play, so obviously we make six changes, but the rules and principles are the same
"One is ill [Sancho], the other [Shaw] is a small injury, I hope it's not too bad. We'll have to see how it develops to Sunday, but he's not available for tonight. We know we have good players in the squad and we can replace that."
Ten Hag was also asked about Weghorst, who is set to lead the attack again, and he praised the striker. He added: "With him in the team we've only lost one game, so he's doing a great job. So we have to keep that going, be important for the team.
"He has to play a role, give a good performance, give 100%, continue for the team."
