Why isn't West Ham vs Bristol City FA Cup game on TV in UK today?

West Ham begin what they hope will be a deep FA Cup run as they host Bristol City this afternoon.

David Moyes' side have made a habit of success in European competitions in recent seasons and will be keen to replicate that domestically, having reached the Carabao Cup quarter-finals earlier this term.

It is 43 year since West Ham last lifted the FA Cup and they have not come particularly close to ending that long wait since reaching the final in 2006, with the Hammers not making it beyond the fifth round for six years.

They are strong favourites to secure their place in the fourth round in routine fashion, as they welcome Championship side Bristol City to the London Stadium.

The Robins sit 11th in the table, having began 2024 in disappointing fashion with a defeat to Millwall on New Year's Day.

Fans in the UK will be unable to watch West Ham vs Bristol City on TV.

The game was not selected by broadcasters as one of the six live FA Cup third-round matches, or one of those shown on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Red Button.

Free highlights will be available on BBC's Match of the Day, scheduled for 10.30pm GMT.
