Why isn’t Liverpool vs Wolves Premier League game live on TV in UK?

Liverpool host Wolves tonight desperately looking to get things back on track, but fans at home in the UK will not be able to watch the match live.

It is already the fourth times these two sides have faced off since the turn of the year, with Jurgen Klopp’s side edging past Wolves in an FA Cup replay after it finished all square at Anfield.

The Reds then returned to Molineux at the beginning of February and were hammered 3-0 in the Premier League, a performance Klopp described as one of the worst of his managerial career.

They will be looking for revenge at Anfield tonight, and a return to winning ways after a heavy defeat to Real Madrid and a goalless draw with Crystal Palace.

However, as with Arsenal’s match against Everton, it will not be broadcast live in the UK.

This game was initially due to take place on September 10 last year, but was postponed due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

It was scheduled for a 3pm kick-off, and therefore was not going to be on TV, and so can not now be moved to a televised slot for any of Sky Sports, BT Sport or Amazon Prime.

Instead, the midweek action on BBC and ITV is centred on the FA Cup, a competition Liverpool were knocked out of by Brighton in the previous round.
