Gogglebox fans will notice that their Friday night TV looks different this week as the show is absent from their screens.
The popular Channel 4 show has been moved from its usual 9pm spot - which has caused uproar among viewers who described it as 'the gateway to the weekend'. Gogglebox was bumped from Friday to make way for a new show in its place.
Friday Night Live will instead air at 9pm, in a one-off special to celebrate Channel 4's 40th birthday. The one-off special episode is a revival of the hit show that first launched on the channel in 1985, and made stars of the likes of Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie.

Ben Elton will reprise his role as host for the special, joined by comedians including Harry Enfield, Jo Brand and Rosie Jones. But luckily for Gogglebox viewers, they don't have long to wait until the beloved show is back on their screens.
The newest episode will instead air on Saturday at 9pm , one day later than its usual slot. Channel 4 confirmed that the move will be for this week only, writing to one concerned fan on Twitter that it will return to Friday nights from next week.
Although the episode has only been delayed by 24 hours, some fans were not happy about the change. Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “We NEED our light-hearted Gogglebox by the end of the week on a Friday night! It’s what Friday nights were made for.”
The armchair critic show is now in its 20th series, having been on our screens for almost a decade after its first episode aired in March 2013. The families taking part have come and gone over the years, with fan favourites including best friends Jenny and Lee and married couple Giles and Mary.
