Why Is Fan Favourite Nick Diaz No Longer Fighting At UFC 310?

MMA fans were excited at the return of Nick Diaz at UFC 310, but not anymore. The UFC fan-favourite and brother of Nate has been removed from the card due to undisclosed reasons. The 41-year-old WILL NOT fight at UFC 310 against Vincent Luque.

Why is Nick Diaz Not Fighting AT UFC 310?

UFC 310 was supposed to mark the long-awaited return of MMA icon Nick Diaz. The brother of Nate and a UFC stalwart was preparing for a comeback fight against Vicente Luque on the UFC 310 main card.

However, Diaz’s return is no longer as he was officially removed from the card. The exact reason for his removal is unknown, with the UFC confirming that the 41-year-old was removed from the card due to ‘undisclosed reasons’.

This of course got fans speculating, but nobody knows for sure what is keeping Diaz off the card. However, there was a troubling video doing the rounds on social media in early November of the UFC veteran seemingly trying to light something in the middle of the street, whilst shirtless in public.

The Stockton-born man himself is yet to release any statement about the withdrawal, but has been active on social media since and seems to be training away and in shape. With Diaz out, the UFC booked Themba Gorimbo to fight Luque in Diaz’s place.

When Will Diaz Return To The UFC?

There is no official confirmation as to when MMA fans will see Nick Diaz in a UFC octagon again.

Diaz hasn’t fought in Dana White‘s organisation since way back in September 2021. On that occasions, he was stopped by former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 266, and hasn’t fought since.

UFC 310 was meant to be Diaz’s return to action for the first time in over three years. However, after being removed from his proposed contest with Vincente Luque, nobody knows when we will see Nick Diaz back in the UFC cage again.

Some fans even believe we might never see the 41-year-old compete in the UFC ever again. If he doesn’t return in 2025, it seems fairly obvious that those sentiments will ring true. If we don’t see Nick Diaz compete in the UFC next year, it’s unlikely we will ever again.
