Fair City fans will have two episodes less to watch this week due to a schedule change.
After a dramatic few weeks leading up to Christmas in the RTE soap, fans will have to wait patiently for their next fix as the broadcaster makes room for the football finals this week.
The Carrigstown characters have been pushed aside on account of the World Cup with no episodes this Tuesday or Friday night.

Tuesday night will see Joanne Cantwell present coverage of the first of the World Cup semis as Argentina take on Croatia at Lusail Stadium in Qatar. Coverage begins at 6pm ahead of kick-off at 7.00pm.
Both of these countries won their quarter-finals on Friday in penalty shootouts, with Croatia defeating heavy tournament favourites Brazil and Argentina overcoming Netherlands.
The popular programme, which usually airs on RTÉ One every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
It will return to normal after the tournament, with Thursday and Sunday's episodes going ahead as normal this week, an RTE spokesperson has confirmed.
This Thursday’s episode of Fair City will see tensions continue to flare between Dean and Kev whilst Anna insists Kev stays at hers until he finds a suitable place to live.
Joan reveals receives a text warning her about Kev staying on the premises.
Dean and Anna vouch for Kev, but Anna is convinced that Dean sent Joan the message. Dean begs Anna to be careful with Kev, insisting he’s manipulating her but Anna sends him packing.
Dearbhla tries to smooth things over for Dean with Anna, but Anna can’t understand Dean’s suspicion.
Elsewhere, Mondo assures Ray he’s fine after the Melanie debacle.
And Ray urges him to reach out to Kira, but Mondo is adamant to move on. Kira confronts Melanie for her mistreatment of Mondo and he is taken aback when he witnesses Kira defending him to Melanie.
Meanwhile, Anto floats the idea of a community Christmas dinner for lonely locals to Jane. Carol warns Jane that Anto will have her waitressing when he reveals he plans to throw it at McCoy’s.
Hayley reluctantly rejects Sharon’s invitation to spend Christmas at a luxury hotel, vowing not to take sides.
And whilst she initially vetoes Anto’s community Christmas dinner plan, she begins to waver. But Anto is left hurt when Hayley accuses his charitable venture as a ruse to impress Sharon.
