ITV has confirmed Emmerdale will air on Sunday night (September 11), after it was taken off air on Thursday and Friday due to the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The channel confirmed it is dedicating a Sunday night slot to Emmerdale to allow viewers to catch up. Broadcasters have replaced regular programmes with specials, tributes and extended news coverage since the Queen's death on Thursday.
Emmerdale will air at the earlier time of 6.35pm and is the hour-long Thursday, September 8 instalment. It will also replace Celebrity Lingo with RuPaul.
