Emmerdale fans are being warned of a major TV schedule change which will see them miss out on a helping of their favourite soap.
There will not be an episode of Emmerdale airing on ITV this evening. This is because of the channel’s football coverage.
Instead of the latest happenings from the village, the broadcaster will be showing the England Lionesses in their World Cup qualifying match against Luxembourg.

Don’t despair too much though, Emmerdale fans as the lost episode will be made up for later in the week. The soap will return at 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 7 with the usual hour-long episode coming on Thursday, September 8.
This will then be followed by another special hour-length episode on Friday, September 9. This week, we are seeing more of the plot being built towards Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary which is coming in October.
Among the storylines, we know old faces will be returning, there will be a wedding and a major storm which will likely, in true soap fashion, end in tragedy.
