Why is Britain's Got Talent not on TV tonight and when can fans watch it next?

Britain's Got Talent fans will be disappointed to see it's missing from screens this weekend after a major scheduling shake-up.

The beloved talent show is currently in its sixteenth season, with Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden returning to the judging panel.

Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli also joined the judges- replacing David Walliams who quit the show last year following a scandal in which audio leaked exposing him making crude comments about contestants reports the Mirror.

But fans of the show will notice that the series will not be airing on Saturday night as it always does- and here's why.

Why is Britain’s Got Talent not on tonight?

Britain's Got Talent has been on screens on a Saturday night since the sixteenth season began on April 15.

However, the episode which will show the sixth round of auditions will not air on Saturday, May 13, as fans would expect.

The show has been pulled from the schedules to avoid clashing with the Eurovision Song Contest final which will air on rival channel BBC One.

When will Britain’s Got Talent return?

Fans won’t need to wait too long to watch the next episode of the talent contest.

The sixth episode is instead due to air on Sunday, May 14 and all the excitement and action will continue.

What is showing on ITV instead of Britain’s Got Talent tonight?

Fans who don’t want to watch Eurovision will be able to watch 2018 film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom instead.

This film will be followed by ITV news and then the sci fi adventure Total Recall - while Eurovision will air on BBC One from 8pm until midnight.
