Production on some of your favourite TV shows could soon come to a halt, after unions representing thousands of TV and film writers voted overwhelmingly in support of a strike. The Writers Guild of America polled their members to gauge support for labour action and the results were unprecedented: almost 98 percent of writers were in favour. Meanwhile, the Colombian journalist Rafael Moreno was killed last October while reporting on corruption in the country. Since his death, a group of journalists have taken up his cause, launching "Project Rafael" as part of a nonprofit group called Forbidden Stories which is dedicated to carrying on the work of journalists who have been killed or threatened. Finally, a young Black man has been shot in the head and arm after ringing a doorbell at the wrong house. The incident happened in the US city of Kansas City, Missouri last week. Sixteen-year-old Ralph Yarl, who is African American, was just trying to pick up his younger brothers from a friend's house when an 84-year-old White homeowner opened fire. The homeowner says he reacted out of fear, in a case that prosecutors say has a racial component.
