Harry Maguire has been ruled out of Manchester United's pre-season opener because of an injury complaint.
The 29-year-old was pictured arriving at the Rajamangala National Stadium on Tuesday with the rest of the United squad but was not named in the matchday squad due to a 'slight knock'. Maguire trained individually during the club's open training session on Monday and has not recovered enough in time to be risked in the first pre-season match.
An update issued by United ahead of kick-off said: "Harry is not in the squad after picking up a slight knock. The United captain and England international trained individually on Monday, away from the main group in our open session."

Maguire is a notable absentee from the starting line-up for the clash with Jurgen Klopp's side, with Erik ten Hag having named a strong side for his first game at the helm. Fortunately, fellow centre-back Raphael Varane has been deemed fit enough to be included in the starting line-up.
The Frenchman was absent from Monday's opening training session, meaning there was a doubt that he would be included in the team. However, he has made the cut, joining Victor Lindelof in the heart of the defence.
Meanwhile, in Maguire's absence, Bruno Fernandes has been awarded the captain's armband. The Portuguese ace did sport the armband on a few occasions last term.
Maguire, however, will continue as United's captain this season, as confirmed by Ten Hag in his pre-match press conference on Monday.
The Dutchman said: "Harry Maguire is the captain. I have to get to know all the players, but he's an established captain and he's achieved a lot of success. I don't see this as an issue."
