Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic was denied a dream return to St James' Park on Sunday afternoon when the Serbian international had a second half penalty disallowed against his former club..
A challenge from Kieran Trippier on Fulham's Bobby Decordova-Reid that went to VAR saw Mitrovic handed the perfect opportunity to give his new side the lead midway through the second half.
While he stepped up and fired the ball past Nick Pope, the striker touched the ball twice, resulting in his spot kick being chalked off, much to Newcastle's relief.

Under IFAB's Laws of the Game, Law 14 around penalty kicks states that an offence has occurred if "the kicker touches the ball again before it has touched another player."
And the disallowed penalty was a huge let off for the Magpies with Newcastle going on to win the game courtesy of a late goal from Alexander Isak, who nodded home Callum Wilson's dinked cross to earn Eddie Howe's side all three points on Sunday afternoon.
Come the end of the season, Mitrovic's error, and Isak's late header, could prove to be huge when it comes to where Newcastle finish this term.
