With the news that Calvin Ridley will miss the next year, and the loss of Julio Jones lasts offseason, the Atlanta Falcons sorely need another body for Marcus Mariota to throw to next to Kyle Pitts. USC’s Drake London will solve that problem immediately, and add talent to a barren wide receiver room.
London is a power forward playing wide receiver; big physical, and athletic. He’s the best high-ball jumper in the draft, and will be a constant 70/30 contested-catch receiver, and a consistent red-zone threat. His explosiveness allows him to burst through tackles and press coverage alike. He’s a threat to score on every play, especially near the goal line.
London will pair with Pitts and bring two massive players for contested catches, explosion, and amazing goal-line talent. Mariota will have a real chance for success with two awesome and massive targets.
