Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has angrily told Manchester United players to retire after Brighton destroyed them at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon. United suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat, which means they can no longer qualify for the Champions League next season.
Those dwindling ambitions had already, effectively, been ended by the time United made the long trip to the south coast, where their fate was confirmed with a game to spare. Change is on the horizon at Old Trafford with Erik ten Hag preparing to step into the dugout after first seeing out the campaign with Ajax.
Ten Hag could win his third Eredivisie title on Sunday afternoon. And for United supporter Fury, the message to current players within the Old Trafford dressing room is loud and clear.

Fury, 33, announced his intention to retire from boxing after his blockbuster world title showdown with fellow Brit Dillian White. Fury knocked out his opponent amid euphoric scenes beneath the famous Wembley arch in front of 94,000 fans.
Having addressed United's form good and bad in past social media addresses, the ever-popular 'Gypsy King' has yet again taken to Instagram to vent his frustrations, which are no doubt shared by fellow supporters.
Uploading a story to his 5.6million followers, Fury commented: "I'll tell you what. Never mind the Gypsy King retiring. What are you saying about United? Why don't they f****** retire. Get off!"
In addition to that audio, he added the caption: "Shocking this. We are having a shocking season. Bring on 2023."
