Crystal Palace head coach James Marrs believes his players' training ground application paid dividends in their 3-0 Barclay's Women's Championship victory over Coventry United at Hayes Lane.
A sublime Molly Sharpe strike preceded second-half efforts from Annabel Blanchard and Elise Hughes to help Palace continue their perfect start to the season.
And with Dean Davenport's side showing early promotion credentials amid a host of summer additions - which included Blanchard and Hughes - Marrs has credited the team's efforts on the training ground for their rapid synergy.
"All of the new signings have been fantastic," Marrs said. "The work ethic in training is nothing I've had before.
"As soon as the boots are on, they're at it and work extremely hard, for us to be three-nil up and have three players chasing the centre back is a testament to what they do on the training ground."
Sharpe broke the deadlock in yesterday's tie with a thundering first-half strike after some neat interplay with Anna Filbey, who cut through the Red and Greens' defence.
Marrs revealed that, too, had its roots in work done in Bromley.
He added: "I'm not going to take the credit for that, but we actually worked on it in training this week trying to get in behind their defence.
"When we got that opportunity, Molly put it away with a fantastic finish.
"We're only six and a half weeks old, so to see the development, we're only going to get stronger.
"Players have got to build relationships, so I was absolutely delighted. The squad we've got, they're not only good players but great people."
Blanchard, one of the South London side's 15 new additions and the scorer of Palace's second goal just after the hour mark, echoed Marrs' optimism on what the squad can achieve this term.
Still keen to critically appraise their display, Blanchard is nevertheless buoyed by their quick start.
She said: "We can still be critical of ourselves but overall, it was positive.
"We're still quite young in terms of all being together, we're only two games in, but what this squad can achieve is incredible.
"The fact we've all bought into it so early is why we played the way we played.
"The main thing is keeping momentum, top at the moment, but we've got to stay humble, keep working every day and grinding."
Coventry boss Lee Burch, who saw his side suffer a second successive defeat to start the season, was defiant in defeat, confident his team would get results if they continued to put in performances which saw them trouble the Palace defence on several occasions.
After suffering a 1-0 defeat in last week's opener to Bristol City, his team sit at the foot of the table, still in search of their first goal of the campaign.
"I can be happy today and last week because the performance and the attitude is eleven out of ten," Burch said.
"If we have that as our baseline and DNA, then we will be fine because you can win football games and produce performances on that, and we just have to hammer out those details and those moments.
"Creating chances and taking chances wins games of football, and we just weren't able to take them at those moments, but we will get better at that."
