Chelsea have begun the campaign without a front-of-shirt sponsor for the second year in a row.
The Blues found themselves in the same predicament at the start of last season before landing American sports technology brand Infinite Athlete in a £40million deal.
It was later agreed that Infinite Athlete would feature on Chelsea’s Nike shirts during this summer’s pre-season.
But it is reported that the company will not be the main sponsor for the 2024-25 campaign even though its logo will feature on the sleeve of the west Londoners’ training kit.
Chelsea are the only Premier League club to be without a main shirt sponsor for the new season.
According to The Athletic, a new agreement is expected soon in the same region as the £40m Infinite Athlete contract.
Saudi Arabian airline Riyadh Air are among the companies to have held talks over a sponsorship.
Premier League clubs are only allowed one front-of-shirt sponsor per season.
Chelsea begin their season at home to Manchester City this afternoon.
