Chelsea remain with their sponsor, Three, on their shirt this evening despite the telecommunications company requesting to end their partnership in the light of Roman Abramovich being sanctioned.
The Russian billionaire, who confirmed his intention to sell the Blues last week, has now been added to the UK government's sanction list - making his sale of the club a whole lot more complicated.
There is chaos off-the-pitch at Chelsea right now and one of their main sponsors, Three, confirmed its request to end its association with the west London club on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the company said: "In light of the government's recently announced sanctions, we have requested Chelsea Football Club temporarily suspend our sponsorship of the club, including the removal of our brand from shirts and around the stadium until further notice.
"We recognise that this decision will impact the many Chelsea fans who follow their team passionately. However, we feel that given the circumstances, and the Government sanctions that is in place, it is the right thing to do."
However, it is unknown whether the request has been granted and either way, it looks like it has come at too much of a late notice for Chelsea considering their trip to Carrow Road this evening.
Car manufacturer and Chelsea shirt sleeve sponsors Hyundai announced earlier today (Thursday) that it will review the situation before making a definitive decision on their part.
A statement read: "Hyundai has become one of the strongest partners in football over the years and the company supports the sport to be a force for good.
"We are currently assessing the situation with Chelsea FC."
Chelsea confirmed earlier on Thursday that they are now in dialogue with the UK government over what the next steps are in this complicated process.
