Chelsea will line-up at Wembley for Saturday's FA Cup final in an all-yellow strip despite the fact there is no kit clash with opponents Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp's men will stick with their traditional red kit, much like they did when the two sides met at the same stadium earlier this season to contest the Carabao Cup final. Chelsea have a stellar history in the FA Cup and won the competition in 2009 while donning a yellow kit when they beat Everton in the final.
The Blues booked their place in this season's final with a comfortable semi-final victory over fellow London outfit Crystal Palace, a game in which they also wore yellow. The last campaign that saw Chelsea boast a yellow away kit was the 2018/19 season - where they won the FA Cup, though did so while wearing blue in the final against Manchester United.
The two full campaigns since that triumph have seen Chelsea impressively reach the final of the FA Cup on both occasions - though they have lost both games and did so in their iconic blue strip. The first defeat came at an empty Wembley Stadium against Arsenal, before falling at the final hurdle once again against Leicester City last term.
Tuchel will be hoping wearing yellow brings much more luck to Chelsea's way as they look to lift the trophy of the world's oldest competition in the same colour kits they did nearly 13 years ago against another Merseyside-based outfit.
As per the statement released by the club once the away kit was unveiled last summer, the shirt Chelsea will be wearing at Wembley appear to be a nod to the level of young, exciting talent within their ranks.
"The pinstripe detail is a nod to kits of the past, but are refreshed by the alignment with black, representative of this new era of youthful energy taking over the club," the club claimed.

This final also presents the first chance Chelsea have to secure silverware under the new ownership of Todd Bohely, who will be looking to start where former chief Roman Abramovich left off. Tuchel declared how his players are not intimidated by Liverpool's fine form this season.
"I don't care about their other titles," the Blues boss claimed before reflecting on their last meeting. "We lost, of course, the final. We gave everything in that final as you know, it was a big match that went until the very last penalty.
"Of course, we were unlucky and lost it. We want to turn things around. It will not give us the Carabao Cup title back but we are here and were here last season in the FA Cup final and that means an unbelievable lot to us. It's the FA Cup, the most prestigious, most traditional cup in the world and played at Wembley."
