Why Bayern Munich vs Celtic second leg isn't on TNT Sports

The second leg of Celtic's mammoth Champions League tie with Bayern Munich on Tuesday isn't on TNT Sports.

The Parkhead side head to Germany next week 2-1 down after a narrow defeat in the first leg of the knockout round playoff on Wednesday.

Michael Olise and Harry Kane put the Bavarians 2-0 up within 50 minutes, although Daizen Maeda hit back late on to provide Brendan Rodgers' men with some hope heading to the Allianz Arena.

All of Celtic's European games this season have been shown live on TNT, although that won't be the case on Tuesday.

Indeed, Amazon Prime, who have the rights to exclusively broadcast select Champions League games in the UK on Tuesdays, have picked up Bayern Munich vs Celtic as part of its package next midweek.

Celtic will, therefore, not be on TNT and make history in Munich regardless of the result by becoming the first Scottish side ever to have one of their matches streamed on Amazon Prime in the UK.

On the pitch, Brendan Rodgers will be hoping his side can make a first, too, and win competitively on German soil for the maiden time.

Turning over a one-goal deficit against one of Europe's elite sides is easier said than done, though, especially in their own backyard.
