Manchester United return to Premier League action on Sunday with a trip to Aston Villa.
Erik ten Hag's side made it nine games unbeaten on Thursday night with a 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad in the Europa League. Whilst that result wasn't enough to avoid a potentially difficult two-legged tie in February against a Champions League drop-out, it did at least keep the good run of form going.
Next up is a meeting with a Villa side under new management. Former Arsenal chief Unai Emery will preside over his first game since succeeding Steven Gerrard in the hot seat. Due to United playing on Thursday their Premier League clash at Villa Park was moved back a day. This is because there is a requirement for there to be at least 48 hours between two matches, regardless of the competition.

The game is therefore taking place on Sunday at 2pm but will not be screened live on TV in the UK, despite it being in one of Sky Sports' Super Sunday slots. Sky had already chosen to screen Southampton against Newcastle in their 2pm slot prior to the Tottenham versus Liverpool game later in the day.
BT Sport , meanwhile, will be televising Chelsea against Arsenal at 12pm. The only other top-flight game on Sunday is West Ham against Crystal Palace and that game, like United's match at Villa, is not being screened live.
United's next two games - against Villa on Thursday in the EFL Cup and then away at Fulham in the league next Sunday - are both being screened live on Sky Sports before the World Cup break begins.
