Why Arsenal vs Brighton is not on TV in the US as Mikel Arteta prepares for Carabao Cup tie

After proceeding straight through to the last 16 of the Europa League and beating Chelsea away at Stamford Bridge last week, high-flying Arsenal will turn their attention towards the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping his side can continue their impressive form by getting off to a winning start in the EFL Cup as they face fellow Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.

With one more league match to get through before the World Cup kicks off, the Gunners boss has confirmed he will make some changes but reiterated that the aim is to win.

“We’re going to pick a very competitive team,” Arteta told Arsenal's official website. “I think everyone deserves chances, and we’ll make some changes with judgement in relation to the load of the players, but we’ll play to win.”

While plenty of supporters are expected to be in attendance at the Emirates Stadium, those at home will unfortunately be unable to watch live coverage as the game is not being broadcast in the UK, USA or Canada.

Instead, other games such as Manchester City vs Chelsea and Manchester United vs Aston Villa have been selected for TV.

Fortunately, our football.london Arsenal reporters will be at the ground to ensure you don’t miss a thing via the live blog, providing regular updates including team news and key moments, as well as pre-match and post-match analysis. The matchday blog will be up and running from 3:45pm UK time here.

Those located in the States will also be able to catch match highlights on ESPN+ Player once the action has concluded.
