Why Arsenal vs Brighton EFL Cup clash is not on TV as Mikel Arteta targets Carabao Cup success

Premier League leaders Arsenal will be hoping to get off to an ideal start in the Carabao Cup with victory over Brighton this evening. The Gunners go into the game after an extraordinarily comfortable 1-0 win against Chelsea on Sunday.

The victory means that Mikel Arteta has become the first ever manager to record three Premier League wins in a row at Stamford Bridge but more importantly, Arsenal reclaimed their position at the top of the table.

They now sit on 34 points after just 13 games and many are starting to consider them as genuine title contenders. Arteta will be making sure that the squad don't get too far ahead of themselves, but he'll also be preparing the Gunners for success in all competitions, not just the league.

After securing qualification to the Round of 16 in the Europa League, they now turn their attention to the Carabao Cup as they host a tricky Brighton side at the Emirates Stadium. While plenty of supporters will be in attendance, unfortunately, those at home won't be able to watch live proceedings as the game isn't being broadcast in the UK, Canada or in the USA.

Instead, other games are taking precedence. The likes of Manchester City vs Chelsea and Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham will instead take centre stage.

Luckily however, our football.london Arsenal reporters will be at the ground, meaning you can keep up to date with all the latest from N5 throughout the evening.
