Arsenal's interest in Mykhaylo Mudryk has been known for a while now, and according to former Gunners striker Kevin Campbell, the player's solid relationship with new summer signing Oleksandr Zinchenko could help ease negotiations in the coming transfer window.
Amid such interest, it appears as though the youngster is very open to a move to Arsenal, who would need more depth in their wide areas. Speaking to CBS Sports, he said: "I think every guy dreams about the Premier League. It's hard to say [who his preferred move is], but Arsenal is a very good team, very good coach, I like the way they play."
When asked if he would make a move to the Emirates Stadium, he said: "From my side, I can't say no [to Arsenal]. But the transfer is not only my decision."
Whilst the window only recently closed, it won't be long until it is open in January once again for clubs to bolster. That could allow the Gunners to finally make their move for Mudryk. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Shakhtar are planning on holding out for a huge fee.

The Italian transfer guru said on Que Golazo, as cited by HITC: "I think in the future there is a chance for Arsenal, but only Arsenal. They had a very big chance in the summer. When I spoke to my sources during the summer about Mudryk to understand what will happen with clubs around Europe, they told me that Shakhtar thinks this guy is worth way more than €30 million (£26million).
He added: "They said, 'For us, Mudryk can't be sold for €30, or €35 (£30.3million), or €40 million (£34.7million). We want way more than this'. So this is why in the end they decided to keep the player because they are convinced that they are going to sell him for crazy, crazy money."
Nevertheless, Mudryk's good relationship with Gunners star Oleksandr Zinchenko - who only recently joined the project at the Emirates Stadium himself - could stand Edu and Co. in good stead for future negotiations - at least that's what former Arsenal striker Campbell thinks anyhow.
When asked for his thoughts on Mudryk on the Highbury Squad, as cited by The Boot Room, he said: "I like him. I've seen a few games of his. Not a lot, but whenever I've seen him, he's looked lively, he's looked good—young lad, very gifted.
"I truly believe he is the right profile for Arsenal. He seems to have a great attitude. Again, I think he likes Arsenal. Obviously, his (international) captain's at Arsenal.
"So he's probably ringing Zinny and saying, 'speak to the manager, get me over there'. He's doing pretty well for himself at Shakhtar. He's looking the part.
"Now he's been linked to Arsenal, and everybody's watching him. I'd like Arsenal to have all the weapons. So no matter what, we could chop and change, and we're still strong."
As the player himself has admitted he wants to move to the Premier League and to Arsenal if they come calling, if the Gunners pile the pressure on Shakhtar to sell, it's a deal that could move quickly. Time will tell, but a January move is certainly a possibility.
