Akshay Kumar at the Kesari 2 trailer launch

New Delhi: At the grand trailer launch of Kesari Chapter 2 in New Delhi, a visibly moved Akshay Kumar tearfully defended his use of strong language in the film’s courtroom scene. When questioned about his character’s explosive retort "F**k You" to a British official who calls Indians "still slaves," the actor gave a fiery response: "Yes, I used that word. But isn’t calling us ‘slaves’ the worst abuse possible? I’d have been happier if you criticized THAT word instead."

He added emotionally: "In such moments, even shooting them wouldn’t have been enough! History books follow British narratives—our films show the truth." The scene mirrors real-life C. Sankaran Nair’s defiance as he fought for Jallianwala Bagh justice post-1919 massacre. The confrontation has gone viral, sparking debates on colonial trauma and Indian resistance.
