Whoever's the Biggest DGR Fundraiser Will Get a Prize So Sweet, It’ll Make You Feel Guilty

If you missed RideApart's recent teaser about what I'll be doing to raise funds for the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR), you should check it out and find out what the purpose of the DGR is. I was feeling pretty happy because that task I'll undertake isn't particularly easy but it should help to raise money for what I think is a great cause.

I thought, "This is a good thing to do with your time."

But now, Triumph has taken my somewhat egotistical sense of selflessness and eradicated it with an absolutely ridiculous prize for the person who raises the most money for the DGR—Yes, I want this prize, and I'm not that ashamed to say it.

The top overall fundraiser to win a choice of XE or X model of the ultimate Scrambler 1200 Icon Edition. This modern classic will take on an almost vintage aesthetic thanks to the iconic gold 1907 Triumph script logo on the tank. The whole bike is finished in a striking Sapphire Black and Aluminum Silver paint scheme, with hand-painted gold lining and signed by the artist.

The second two top fundraisers and the Gentlefolk Prize winner will each be rewarded with a Triumph Modern Classic of their choice. And if you know anything about me, it won't take you long to guess which Triumph Modern Classic I'd pick.

There's also a dedicated limited-edition clothing collection that features both Triumph and DGR brands. Participants who join Team Triumph, a dedicated rider’s group, will be joining Triumph’s global community whilst raising money, and the top five fundraisers in the Triumph DGR Riders Group will be rewarded with all the items in this year’s DGR and Triumph Collection.

So, yeah, I want to help even more now because I might win a dream motorcycle on top of raising even more money for a cause that's close to my heart. Ultimately, I suppose that's the point of having such ridiculously cool prizes. Hat's off to Triumph.
